How it Works

1. Make Your Donation
Donate to the Bowie Fall Fundraising Campaign at the sponsorship level that's
right for your family.

2. Check Your Employer
See if your employer offers charitable donation matching.
You can:

• Search your company's giving program
           
• Contact your HR or Benefits team (use the template email in the FAQ!)

3. Submit Your Match Request

Submit your request through your employer's giving portal using your donation
receipt.

Some companies process matching gifts through an online portal, while others
send the matching donation directly to Bowie PTA. Every employer's process is a
little different.

4. Let Us Know!
Once you've submitted your employer matching request, please email a copy of
your confirmation or matching gift receipt to: President@JamesBowiePTA.org

Does my employer's matching gift count toward my family's sponsorship level?
Yes! Employer matching gifts count toward your family's total sponsorship amount.
For example:
         You donate $250.
         Your employer matches $250.

         Your family's total contribution becomes $500.
That means your family receives the benefits associated with the $500 Blue Level
sponsorship.
It's a simple way to increase your impact and unlock additional family perks at no
additional cost to you.

I already made my donation. Can I still request an employer match?
Usually, yes!
Many companies allow employees to submit matching gift requests after making their
donation. Check with your employer for any deadlines, then submit your request using
your donation receipt.

My company says they send the matching gift directly to Bowie PTA. What should
I do?
That's completely normal.
Some employers send matching gifts directly to Bowie PTA instead of processing them
through Membership Toolkit.
Once you've submitted your employer matching request, please email your confirmation

This helps us track your pending match and ensure your family's sponsorship level and
benefits are updated as quickly as possible.

How long does it take for my employer's matching gift to arrive?

Every company is different.
Some matching gifts arrive within a few weeks, while others may take several months to
process.
As long as you've submitted your request and notified Bowie PTA, we'll track the
pending match until it is received.

I don't know if my company offers employer matching. Is it still worth checking?
Yes! Many employees are surprised to learn their employer offers a matching gift
program. It only takes a few minutes to check with your HR or Benefits team, and your
donation could be doubled at no additional cost to you.
Even if you're unsure, we encourage every family to take a quick look. You might be
surprised!
